Condolences

Condolence From: Marie M. (Wagner) Westfall
Condolence: To Marilyn, Gene; and Shirley's Family: My most sincere sympathy to all of you. We lived on the farm next to Balcolm's and Shirley and I grew up together....she was my idol as we walked to school most everyday together until she graduated (she was two years older then me). We enjoyed each others company and had many interesting coversations walking and being together. I do hope each of you know she was loved by many people. My love and prayers go to each of you as you struggle with your loss. Please pass on my msg to Gene and Marilyn. Hugs to all Marie M. Wagner (married name now: Westfall)

Condolence From: Deborah Fuller Dreckman
Condolence: One of my earliest childhood memories at First United Methodist Church is singing hymns in Sunday School, with Shirley Balcom standing behind me, her strong voice falling over me and I recall marveling at how beautiful she was. Shirley and all the Balcoms were a huge influence on the church and on my family. Her death is a loss for us all. I know your memories will give you comfort. Know that old friends share your grief. With sympathy ...

Condolence From: David & Bonnie Lodestein
Condolence: To the Wallace family: It was with deep regret that we heard of Shirley's passing. I,David, knew her from my earliest memories of my childhood on South 11th Street in Marion. We walked to school together through those long Iowa winters until I left for Oregon in 1947. The last time I saw her was in 1978 and we had a great time visiting at her home in Marion. Again, our deepest sympathy and condolences to you and her friends. We are diminished. David and Bonnie Lodestein, Eugene Oregon.
