Levine Elaine 'Lee' Burg

February 28, 1930 - January 23, 2022

Levine Elaine “Lee” Burg, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 23, 2022. The family will greet friends and family from 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with a second visitation to begin one hour prior at the church. Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Lee was born February 28, 1930, in Hebron Township, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore and Fannie (Janssen) Jordahl. Lee graduated from Blue Earth High School. On April 22, 1950, Lee was united in marriage to Kenneth F. Burg. She worked at Honeywell and Rockwell Collins and enjoyed being a homemaker. Lee was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She loved crafting, bingo, and bowling. Lee had the greenest of thumbs and her beautiful roses were the fruits of her talent. She liked to keep busy watching her grandkids’ activities. Lee will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Survivors include her children, Theola (Mike) Hauskins, Tony (Joyce) Burg, and Ken (Diane) Burg, all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Florin Jordahl of Blue Earth, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters-in-law, two grandchildren, and brother, Delmar Jordahl. Memorials may be directed to the family.
