Alex John Spofford, 32, of Delhi, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. Private family services will be held at a later date. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester assisted the family.
Alex was born on July 6, 1992, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Mark and Lisa (Freiburger) Spofford. He attended Western Dubuque High School. Driven by a passion for music, Alex attended Full Sail University where he graduated in 2023, with a bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering.
He enjoyed long walks, gaming, and spending times with close friends. He was a fiercely independent and kindhearted free spirit whose charity knew no bound. Alex will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Alex is survived by his mother, Lisa Freiburger of Delhi; brother, Chris (Jessy) Spofford of Portland, Oregon; grandpa, James (Cindy) Freiburger of Delhi; grandma, Barb (David) Reth of Manchester; many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and the beloved family dog, Buster.
He was preceded in by his father, Mark Spofford; grandpa and grandma, John and Rose Spofford.
