Alice Virginia Duvall, 91, a long-term resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died February 12, 2011, in DeKalb, Illinois. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Thomas McDermott at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

Virginia is survived by three sisters, Vera Mohr, of Manchester, Iowa, Mary Vitalis Jones, of Waterloo, Iowa, and Mary Joan Bowen, of Boone, North Caroline; her three sons Stephen (Linda) of Mason City, Iowa, Marvin, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Melvin (Claire), of DeKalb, Illinois; and six grandchildren, Megan, Laura, Julia (Stefan Hansen), and Elise Duvall, and Danika and Owen Duvall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Delmar; her daughter, Marilyn; and her two brothers, Peter and Paul Wordehoff.

Virginia was born on Feb. 9, 1920 to Charles and Dorothy (Reed) Wordehoff. She worked for many years as the children's librarian at St. Ludmila School.

Memorials can be made to the St. Ludmila school library.
