Alma Ruth "Hop" Golladay (Kerkman)

Alma “Hop” Ruth Kerkman Golladay, 60, was born on June 12, 1949 and has gone to sleep with the angels on October 5, 2009. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Eastview Christian Church by Rev. Bill Holley. Visitation will be one hour prior the service at the church. Inurnment will be at Linwood Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Alma is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (David) VanderMeer of Grandville, Michigan; three granddaughters, Blake Elizabeth, Amanda, and Christine. Also surviving are her brother, John (Lynda) Kerkman of Cedar Rapids; nephew, Paul Robert Kerkman of San Antonio, Texas; niece, Diva (Justin) Perez of Montgomery, Alabama.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Gladys and her son, Billy.
Alma will be remembered by her good friend Barb Speake and all of her friends from Eastview Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Alma’s memory.
