Angela was born on December 8, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Chester Leon and Virginia Kay (Mills) Fuessley. She was a graduate of North Linn High School and went on to attend Hamilton Business College. On September 14, 1996, Angela was united in marriage to Bernard “Bernie” Taylor, Jr. in Walker. Angela found joy in many simple but meaningful things in life. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, especially while watching cooking shows and preparing meals. She had a special love for cats and was an avid basketball fan, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Indiana Fever. Sunday afternoons were often spent visiting the farm where she grew up. Angela’s faith was an important part of her life. She was a member of New Hope Church in Walker, where she attended Sunday School, was confirmed and was a part of the church choir. She also enjoyed collecting lighthouses, each one a small reminder of her unique spirit. Angela’s kindness and generosity live on through her decision to be an organ donor, a final gift that will continue to touch the lives of others. Angela will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Angela is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years, Bernie Taylor of Cedar Rapids; children, Avada and Grayson at home; mother, Virginia Fuessley of Walker; siblings, Shane (Julie) Fuessley of Walker, Blair (Wendy) Fuessley of Center Point, Iowa, and Holly Fuessley of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; aunt, JoAnn Johnson of Independence; sister-in-law, Julie Taylor of Pine City, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Mark Taylor of St. Paul, Minnesota and cats, Dasher, Torie, Maisy, and Wrynn.
