Anita I. Kummer
February 20, 1923 — October 31, 2005
Anita I. Kummer, 82, of Marion, died Monday, October 31, 2005, at Linn Manor Care Center, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2005, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids by Rev. Kay Slocum. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; a son, David (Helen) Kummer of Los Angeles, California; a daughter, Charlotte (Rex) Radermacher of Minnetonka, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Lywan Benihya, Solette Westerberg, Ryan, Rochelle and Matthew Radermacher; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Anita was born February 20, 1923, the daughter of Frederick and Charlotte (Hammond) Kahler in Ladora, Iowa. On August 4, 1943, she married Robert Kummer in Moline, Illinois. She graduated from Conroy High School in 1940. She worked at First National Bank/Norwest. Anita was a member of First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids and the Keenagers.
