AnnaElise MaryEtta (McMann) Edgeton, 18, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, flew up to heaven on the wings of angels on January, 13, 2018. Visitation: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018, with a Remembrance Ceremony to follow at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Officiated by Rev. Kenneth J. Glaser.
Anna was born June 11, 1999, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Ted and Lori (Dochterman) McMann. She graduated from Metro High School in 2015, at the age of 16. Anna completed her CNA certification through UnityPoint and enjoyed caring for her patients at Living Center East. She married John Edgeton, Jr. on August 12, 2017, at Palisades Park. Anna was determined, outspoken, kind-hearted, mature, and responsible beyond her years. She had a special love for her dog, Tinker, cat, Angel, bearded dragon, Wiz, and her many other pets. Anna made delicious sugar cookies and loved crafting. She was bright, driven, spunky and independent. Anna and her mother had a very special bond. She loved her husband, John, with all of her heart and soul.
Anna is survived by her husband, John Edgeton, Jr. of Cedar Rapids; parents, Ted and Lori McMann of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Jacob McMann (Jessica) of Cedar Rapids, Mandy (Nick) Hawkins of Cedar Rapids, Jory McMann (Kerry) of St. Louis, Missouri; grandparents, Ernest and Mary Dochterman of Cedar Rapids; aunts and uncles, Mike and Wendy Dochterman of Minnesota, Karen and Danny Wintringer of Cedar Rapids, Kevin Dochterman of Cedar Rapids, Mary “Susie” McMann of Cedar Rapids, Nancy and Bob Hildenbrand of Cedar Rapids, Teresa and Chuck Saxon of Cedar Rapids, Ellen and Dave Barber of Indiana, Curt McMann of California, Kevin and Karen McMann of Cedar Rapids, Neal and MaryAnn McMann of Arizona; nephew and nieces, Austin, Ava, Savannah McMann; and many cousins.
Also surviving are John’s family; mother-in-law, Annie Edgeton (T.H.) of Cedar Rapids; grandparents-in-law, Jeff and Debbie Merrell of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Emily Edgeton of Cedar Rapids; aunts, Stacy Sutton (Thomas) and Tiffany (Randy) Long; and cousins.
Anna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cleo and Irene McMann.
