ArloAnn Betty Sieck, 92, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Hiawatha Care Center. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A Funeral Service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

ArloAnn was born on July 4, 1932, in Dewitt, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Norma (Bluedorn) Gronewold. She attended Tipton High School. On August 9, 1950, ArloAnn was united in marriage to Russell F. Sieck in Clarence, Iowa. ArloAnn was a devoted homemaker who worked side by side with her husband on their farm, embodying the spirit of hard work and commitment to the land they cherished. Together, they raised their eight children while farming the land near the Toddville and Center Point areas. Throughout her life, ArloAnn found immense joy in cooking, a skill that not only nourished her household but also brought together family and friends. She was known for her delicious meals and the warmth she offered at every gathering. She took great pride in cultivating large gardens that provided bountiful harvests appreciated by all. Among her proudest accomplishments was her talent for quilting, a craft through which she expressed creativity and love, creating beautiful pieces that would be treasured by her family for generations. She was a member of the Greens Grove Sewing Circle. ArloAnn’s rich life was characterized not just by her interests and talents, but by the deep-rooted relationships she fostered and the kindness she extended to those around her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

ArloAnn is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Connie (Dick) Emery of Center Point, Iowa, Richard (Mary) Sieck of Toddville, Iowa, Robert (Barbara) Sieck of Center Point, Arlyn (Evalina) Sieck of Center Point, Brenda (Ted) Lampe of Glendale, Arizona, and Terri Sieck of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren, Christina (Nick) Ross, Shawn (Jessica) Sieck, Joshua (Danielle) Sieck, Ryan Sieck, Johnny Sieck, Stephen (Mindy) Sieck, Michelle (Joe) Hutchins, Matthew (Nichole) Sieck, Jennifer (Jason) Trotter, Eric (Shannon) Sieck, Sarah (Jeff) Connors, Laura Janzen, and Daniel Rhoads; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Williams of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; and two brothers, Merlyn (Doris) Gronewold of Waterville, Iowa, and Galen (Jane) Gronewold of Urbandale, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; sons, Gary and Jeffery; daughter, Debra Jo; two brothers, Lawrence and LaVerne Gronewold; and one sister, Naomi Mathes.
