Barbara "Barb" June Klein Paulsen

Barbara “Barb” June Klein Paulsen, 67, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. In agreement with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Travis and Katie Stolba.

Barb was born on June 12, 1959, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Albert “Dave” and Violet June (Switzer) Paulsen. She graduated from Linn-Mar High School and went on to graduate from Kirkwood Community College. On September 8, 2018, she was united in marriage to Anthony “Moe” Klein in Central City, he preceded her in death on September 14, 2020. She worked for Whirlpool until her retirement. Barb will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She loved being outdoors and enjoyed searching for mushrooms. Barb loved traveling with Moe to Colorado for hunting trips; they also enjoyed taking trips together with their four-wheeler. Above all, she adored spending time with her grandchildren the most.

Barb is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Travis (Katie) Stolba; Son, Jason; Daughter, Mysti; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Kenneth (Sharon) Paulsen, Carolyn Cain, Sheryl (Ed) Miller; sister-in-law, Jenny Smith; and fur-baby, Roman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony “Moe” Klein; and brother, Kevin Paulsen.
