Bernita "Granny? Roseberry, 86, of Center Point, died Wednesday, August 4, 2004, in her home from cancer with her family at her side. Services to celebrate Bernita?s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 9, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point by Rev. Ken Glandorf. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, August 8, 2004, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.
Bernita was born April 18, 1918, the daughter of Fred and Ethel Simmen, in rural Alice. She married Paul Roseberry on June 6, 1947.
She is survived by five children, Vernon (Velma) Roseberry, Fredrick (Joyce) Cress both of Center Point, Janette (Don) Rhodes of Brandon, Michael (Priscillia) Roseberry of Central City, and David (Sandy) Roseberry of Roscoe, Illinois; 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a daughter, Shirley; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
