Betty Jean Hall, 50, 3000 J Street S.W., Cedar Rapids, passed away quietly in her sleep, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, following a long illness. A celebration of Betty?s life will be held at the home of Sandra L. Sterk, 480 F Avenue West, Walford, Iowa, (Clover Ridge Estates), from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 25, 2004. Survivors include her sons, Jeremy Hall and Jason Hall, both of Cedar Rapids; her sisters, Sandy Sterk and husband Joe of Walford, Rita Hawthorne of Chandler, Arizona and Pamela Schumacher of Davenport; her brothers, Max W. Addison-Garoutte of Bend, Oregon and Johnny L. Addison-Garoutte of Powell Butte, Oregon; and twenty nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Susanne Phillips.
Betty was born July 20, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Max Wendall and Jean (Rowe) Addison. She graduated from Prairie High School in 1972 and was formerly married to Roger A. Hall. Betty was an employee of Rockwell-Collins for 30 years. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and hanging out with all her friends. Betty?s sense of humor will be greatly missed. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, including her best friend, Susie Fults.
