Betty Lou Salow, 89, of Manchester, formerly of Earlville, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Earlville United Parish Church in Earlville. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with the Pastor Scott Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born on March 7, 1936, in Hopkinton, Iowa, the daughter of James Curtis and Maude Mae (Vesey) Grigg. She was raised near Hopkinton and attended Buck Creek School. Betty married Ray Junior Salow on September 16, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville; 6 children were born to this union. Together they made their home in Earlville. Betty worked at Coil Wall in Dyersville and was a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Earlville United Parish. She loved knitting, crocheting and quilting. Betty was a devote Christian and loved her family and cherished spending time with them.

Betty is survived by her 5 children, Michael (Paula) Salow, Kathy Boots of Monticello, Iowa, Betsy (Greg) Hawker of Manchester, Lisa (David) Coates of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Lori (Dan) Kluesner of Iowa Falls, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Katie Grigg of Monticello; brother-in-law, Dick (Pat) Salow of Manchester; sister-in-law, Phyllis Salow of Earlville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maude Grigg; husband, Ray Junior Salow in 1995; daughter, Jeannie Maureen Salow in 1965; son-in-law, Robert Boots in 2021; and her siblings, James (Dorothy) Grigg, Anne (Lloyd) Rose, Mildred (Forest) Maxwell, Ethel (Dale) Talmadge, Nettie (Marion) Fredrickson, Iris (Ernie) McElmeel, Mona (Harold) Salow and Cornelia Grigg.
