Betty J. Neuhaus, 91, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 with her family at her side. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
Betty was born June 1, 1927 to Herman and Alice (Starbird) Arnold in Manchester. Betty was united in marriage to Ralph Robert Neuhaus on February 10, 1948. Six children were born to this union, Marilyn, Carolyn, Linda, Joyce, Rose, and Ralph Jr. Betty enjoyed having family get togethers for every holiday, playing bingo, baking cookies, and making Easter baskets and holiday treats for many. Just a month ago she was canning tomatoes and making her famous peanut butter cookies. Betty was an avid Cubs fan.
Betty is survived by three children, Marilyn and Carolyn Neuhaus, and Joyce Johnson; grandchildren, Moe, Randy, Kristine, Rachel, Timmy, Stacy, Ronda and Misti; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph in 2002; daughters, Linda and Rose; son, Ralph Jr.; grandsons, Allen and Michael Chapman; son-in-laws, Gary Johnson and Lester Chapman; and her siblings, Virginia Tonne, Helen Fest, Fred, Walter, Don and Corinne Arnold.
