Betty Jean (Carman) Wilson, 73, of Center Point, Iowa passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation: 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.
Betty was born July 23, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Eva (Purington) Carman. She graduated from Center Point High School. Betty was united in marriage to Tom Wilson on August 15, 1970, in Center Point. She worked at the Corner Store in Center Point and met so many people there. She enjoyed helping on the farm and raising cattle with her husband. She loved tending to her gardens, chickens, farm cats and doing puzzles. Above everything else, Betty adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Wilson; son, Jon (Jennifer) Wilson; daughter, Angie (Dean) Hines; grandchildren, Kaitlynn (Matt Schutterle) Wilson, Mackenzie (Tristan) James, Nicholas (Mercedes Nielsen) Wilson, Graeson Wilson, Rodney (Steph) Hines and Charlie (Andrea) Hines; great-grandchildren, Will James, Isla James, Scarlett Burgess, and Cameron, Brooklyn, Owen and Leah Hines; five step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and sister, Judy Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, JoAnn Wahner.
