Beulah "Boots" E. Carty, 94, of Lake Havasu, Arizona, formerly of Earlville, died June 5, 2010, at Lake Hills Inn in Arizona. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the United Parish Church in Earlville, Iowa, conducted by Pastor Jill Mack. Family will greet friends prior to the services at the church from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Beulah was born July 27, 1915, in Earlville, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Deusner) Burrow. She was united in marriage to Charles "Jake" Carty in 1933. Beulah worked at the Earlville Schools, the United States Post Office and sold Avon for over 40 years.
Beulah is survived by one daughter, Karen (Melvin) Wood of Topack, Arizona; five grandchildren, Cindy (Doug) Tracy, Michael (Marry Ann) Carty, Cathy Fleury, Jill Anderson, and Tonya Morgan; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Ella Merrick of Muscatine, Iowa.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Burrow; her husband, Jake Carty in 1989; one son, Charles Carty; and two grandsons, Scott and Jayson Gibson.
