Beverly A. Beaty, 91, of Anamosa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Pinicon Place in Anamosa. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion.
Her life is celebrated by her family including her children, Richard and Mary Beaty of Toronto, Kathleen and Jim Siegling of Marion, Diane and Rick Naaktgeboren of Stone City; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, Robin (Adam) Mangold, Taran (Anita) Beaty and their children, Aidan and Piper, Angela (Tim) Hicks and their children, Mathew and Parker, Jason (Brenda) Naaktgeboren and their children, Collin, Cameron, Josie and Van, Wendy (Josh) Yoder and their children, Mackenzie and Wade, Maev Beaty (Alan Dilworth) and their daughter, Esme, Erik (Tina) Naaktgeboren and their children, Tate and Kane, and Kim Byungsuk Siegling.
Beverly was born August 10, 1926, to CG (Neil) and Flossie Hover. She married Richard Beaty on January 10, 1946. Bev and Dick had a full and varied life together. Bev was “Mrs. B.” to hundreds of Scouts and they knew the door was always open. Bev and Dick worked the Cedar Rapids area theaters together and then traveled the U.S. for Nelson Watering Systems. They had many friends whom they considered family along the way. “Give me a tank of gas and the open road and you by my side” says it all.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Beverly’s name.
