Bonita "Bonnie" Price

Bonita “Bonnie” Price, 90, passed away on March 8th, 2026, in her home. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Bonnie is survived by her sister-in-law Paula Price of Willard, Ohio. Devoted nieces and nephews Jackie Hanna, Dianne Krumbholz, Richard Barta, Robert Barta, Cindy Smidt, Susan Riggle, Angela Schulte, Kelly Steffen, Pam Price, Melanie Giannetto, Matthew Price, Laura Price and Rebecca Price. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley Barta and her beloved husband Dick. Brothers, Donald, Russell, Willard, Phillip and his dear wife Sandy. Foster parents Carlos and Elmer Hodge.

Bonnie was born on December 10th, 1935, to Phyllis (Ramsey) and William A. Price. Bonnie was employed with United Fire Group for over 50 years; her strong work ethic ever present throughout. Bonnie enjoyed traveling, casino trips to Tama with her friend Darlene, Riverside day trips with her nieces, word searches, crossword lottery tickets by the ton, listening to music, and bingo. She enjoyed watching singing competition shows and Wheel of Fortune. One of her favorite things to do was talk on the phone with her friends and family. You knew if she was calling to settle in, because you were going to hear about everyone and everything going on.

Bonnie moved to Corridor Crossing Place in 2022 and began a new chapter. She was a fixture in the lobby ready to greet visitors and enjoyed getting to know the other residents and staff. The family would like to thank the residents and their families who befriended her. The family would especially like to extend appreciation to staff at Corridor Crossing Place who became a second family. To Erica, Pedrina, Ashleigh, Elizabeth, Angela, Windy, Leah, Alexia, Brian, Sandtana, Shyann, Arsema, Jazzmin, Marvie, Praesha, Josephine, Dana, TH, Ashley, Kara, Sarah, Brittny, Colleen, Genieva, Isma, Marinda, Autumn, Esther, Josie and Dawn a heartfelt thank you to all the love and care you provided Bonnie through these last several years. And to Suncrest Hospice for all the support these last couple of months.
