Brian Daniel Nielsen, 39, of 1483 Grand Ave., Marion, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, in his home from complications of diabetes. Memorial Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include his children, Zachary, Blake and Sydney Nielsen; his mother, Carol Nielsen (Al Blofield) of Marion; his father, Barry (Marcia) Nielsen of Denver, Colorado; his grandmother, Donna Nielsen of Marshall, Minnesota; a sister, Amy Glick of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Brett Blofield of Marion; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Heather Brand, Ryan Eivins, Heidi Eivins and Scott Eivins, all of Colorado, and Shawn Eivins of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews including, Gage, Arlyssa, Carlene, Brady and Ashley.
Brian was born April 22, 1967, in Morris, Minnesota, to Barry and Carol (Farmen) Nielsen. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and worked for Quick Trip for over seventeen years.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Brian?s memory.
