Callie Rose Shaffer

Callie Rose Shaffer, 86, of Troy Mills, died Sunday, December 18, 2005, at her home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Troy Mills Christian Church by Rev. Les Larson. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Walker. Burial: Alice Cemetery, Center Point.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Rose (Darrell) Elliott of Anamosa; a sister, Anna Mary Jones Windfield of Alburnett; three grandchildren, Cory (Jeff) Cronbaugh, Trudy (Loyd) Waybill and Melissa Letts; six great-grandchildren, Bryce Cronbaugh, J.D. & C.J. Waybill, and Ashley, Amy and Clint Letts; a sister-in-law, Berneice (Philip) Hand of Center Point; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth.
Callie was born November 24, 1919, the daughter of DeMott and Doretta (Notbhom) Rose in Rigbey, Idaho. On February 24, 1941, she married Kenneth W. Shaffer in Cedar Rapids. He died August 29, 2005.
