Carol Ann (Davison) Davis

Carol Ann (Davison) Davis, 85, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on October 24, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, following the service.

Carol was born December 22, 1938, in Moulton, Iowa, the daughter of Marie and “Speed” Davis. She graduated from Moulton High School. On September 1, 1956, Carol married Elmer Leroy Davis. She worked as a school bus driver for the Cedar Rapids Prairie School District until her retirement.

Carol was known for helping others. She took time in the evenings to visit homes of those who needed her aid: cleaning, doing household tasks, and lending a helping hand. She also contributed to her community by volunteering with Meals on Wheels. Carol’s memory will be cherished by those who were touched by her generosity and kindness.

Carol is survived by her husband, Elmer Davis; her sons, Brian Davis, Jay Davis, and Barry (Andrea) Davis; her brother, David (Floanne) Davison; 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Marty Davis.
