Charles "Chuck" Chase

Chuck Chase, 49, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, May 11, 2015, at home. Celebration of life will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at his sister Pat’s place, 2128 C street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery at a later date.
Chuck was born on September 28, 1965, in Iowa City, Iowa, son of James and Joan (Abernathy) Chase. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1984. He worked for Bill’s Brothers Furniture. Chuck enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, grilling, Hawkeye football, NASCAR, hanging with family and watching National Geographic channel.
Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Chase (fiancé, Joshua Thompson) of Rock Island; siblings, Norm (Edi) Chase, Pat (Tony) Wilson, Donna Connor all of Cedar Rapids, and Sherry Martin of Waterloo, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother, Elizabeth Carter; infant sister, Susan Chase; and his four legged companion, Levi.
