Charles “Chuck” McClure, 55, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at his home. The family will host a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.

Chuck was born October 31, 1969, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of William and Mary Lou (Webb) McClure. He graduated from Crestland High School in Early, Iowa and Western Iowa Tech Community College. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1990 – 1994. Chuck worked as a police officer for the Wilton Police Department, Muscatine County Sherriff’s Office, and the Iowa Department of Corrections. He had a lifelong passion for dogs. His dog Riggins was from a Golden Retriever Rescue, and his dog Timber was a rescue from a friend. Chuck was loved by 18 different dogs throughout his life. He had a quick wit and an amazing sense of humor that he passed down to his kids. Chuck had the best one-liners. He could make anyone laugh. Above everything else in his life, he was a loving father and was so proud of his daughters. His humor and spirit will be missed and never forgotten.

Survivors include his daughters, Amanda McClure of Omaha, Nebraska, Annika McClure of Cedar Rapids, Gauri McClure of Cedar Rapids, and Racheal Gallegos of Omaha; granddaughter, Adaline; brothers, Ed (Jen) McClure of Longmont, Colorado, and Ken (Brenda) McClure of Sac City, Iowa; ex-wife, Karla Grant McClure; and his dogs, Riggins and Timber.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Jean Grant.
