Cheryl "Sherry" Ann Krutzfield

Sherry Ann Krutzfield, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. No services will be held. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.

Sherry was born on February 1, 1949, in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Abe and Lavonna “Bonnie” (Starry) Hamed. She was a graduate of Olin Consolidated School. On August 15, 1970, Sherry was united in marriage to LeRoy “Butch” Krutzfield in Olin, Iowa. She worked at Square D for 35 years until retiring in 2004. Sherry was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed going to the casino to gamble. Sherry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sherry is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Wade (Stacey) Krutzfield of Marion; twin daughters, Kristie (Rob) Ginther and Kelly Gomez, of Haltom City, Texas; nine grandchildren; 18 beautiful great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Hamed of Idaho and Richard Hamed of Cedar Rapids; and one special friend and “child” of my heart, Stacey O’Brien.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; brother, DC Hamed; and sister, Carolyn Brunssen.
