Christopher “Chris” M. Gudenkauf, 30, of Masonville, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017, at Bohnenkamp - Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, Iowa, with a Scripture Service at 2:00 p.m. and additional visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Saturday, also at the funeral home. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Masonville, conducted by Rev. Joseph Schneider. Inurnment: St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Masonville.
Chris was born October 21, 1986, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Mike and Mary Lou (Schaul) Gudenkauf. He was a 2005 graduate of West Delaware High School and attended Northeast Iowa Community College. Christopher enjoyed caring for his kitties and chickens, helping with chores, and working in his woodshop. He worked at Hendersons and most recently at Dairy Queen. He loved pumpkin pie blizzards and receiving pumpkin pies as gifts. He also enjoyed going to eat at the Lucky Buffet.
Chris is survived by his parents; three brothers, Ben Gudenkauf of Cedar Rapids, Cody (Erin) Gudenkauf of Ryan, and Brett (Kelsey) Gudenkauf of Manchester; nephews, Liam and Henry; grandparents, Marian Gudenkauf of Manchester, and Art and Betty Schaul of Manchester; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chris was preceded in death by grandfather, Lester Gudenkauf.
