Clair E. Trimble, 89, of 4104 Lexington Dr. NE, died Tuesday evening, May 23, 2006 at his home due to complications of Parkinson?s Disease.
Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006 at First Church of the Nazarene by Rev. Tim Carter and Rev. Charles Keyes. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Bertha Trimble of Cedar Rapids; three children, Marilyn Sheffer of Olathe, KS, and Eileen (George) Fluharty and L?louise (Dennis) Schmickle, both of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Shari (Wayne) Fritch, Kim (Todd) Butler and Tina (Doug) Goetzinger, all of Cedar Rapids, Angelisa Dayan of Santa Fe, NM, Greg (Donna) Sheffer of Olathe, KS, Brenda (Glen) Shoup of Mission, KS, Jason Bowman of Saigon, Vietnam, and Stephanie Bowman of Phoenix, AZ; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Max O. (Colleen) Trimble of Mesa, AZ; and a step-brother, Charles Keyes of Cedar Rapids.
Clair was born May 27, 1916 in Linn County, the son of Eddie J. and Florence (Hepker) Trimble. On November 18, 1937, Clair was united in marriage to Bertha Russell. Clair farmed in the Toddville area for over 30 years.
Clair was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. A memorial fund has been established in Clair?s name.
