Clara “Lee” Miller, 82 of Marion, Iowa transitioned to a new life with her savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 11, 2014. Funeral Services: 10:30 am Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, July 14, 2014, at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Christopher E. Huber of St. Louis, MO; and three daughters, Jewel M. (Chuck) Sample of Stillwater, OK; Elma D. Clements of Marion; and Clarinda “Lindy” (Tony) Gimlin of Ozark, MO.; nine grandchildren, Jerry A. (Debra) Sample, John A (Leanne) Sample, Lisa M. Morgan, John C. Gimlin, Jason C. (Jacque) Sample, Brian L. Gimlin, Kimberly (Josh) DeWalt, Angela A. Gustafson; and Brittany Huber and thirty-one great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her children and grandchildren are three brothers, Hubert K. (LaVerna) Peal of Aurora, CO, Connie A. (Judy) Peal, and Louis (Pat) Peal both of Cedar Rapids; and five sisters, Dora M. Eden of Cedar Rapids; Elma M. (Gary) Hepner of Ozark, MO; Delight E. (Rich) Hotz of Troy Mills; Martha C. (Ken) DeMoss of Hiawatha, and Ruth A. (Joe) Slaymaker of Springville.
Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a granddaughter, Beverly J. Morgan; and a great-grandson, Brennen C. Kuehl-Sample.
Lee was born on September 6, 1931, at home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Connie B. Peal and Delight E. Bigsby. She lived most of her life in the Marion-Springville area. She married Christopher G. Huber in 1948 and to this union were born one son and three daughters. She later married J. D. Miller until his death in 1994.
