Clarence "Peck? Lasho Jr., 79, of Marion, died Monday, September 20, 2004, at Bickford Cottage in Marion, following a short illness. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at Greek Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist by Father Basil Hickman. A Trisagion Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include a son, Steve Lasho and wife Gwen of North Hills, California; a daughter, Tana Cox and husband William of Marion; and three grandchildren, Nicholas Cox, Bruce Cox and Aleka Lasho.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Helen.
Peck was born November 17, 1924, in Kendallville, Indiana, the son of Clarence E. Lasho Sr. and Beatrice Lasho. On June 23, 1946, he married Helen Pappas. She died August 9, 2001. He worked as a mechanical engineering draftsman at Farnsworth Radio and Television Co. in Ft. Wayne. He moved to Marion in 1950 and worked as a mechanical engineer at Collins Radio, retiring in 1982.
Peck has a passion for playing the drums since he was six years old, which grew into a lifelong love.
Peck was a member of Order of AHEPA of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.
Peck was loved and admired and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
