Claribel Ruth Hann

Claribel Ruth (Goodyear) Hann, 90, a resident of Linn Manor Care Center in Marion, formerly of rural Marion, died Saturday, May 6, 2006. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Jack Kendall. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Private Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura (Walter) Falcon of Stanford, California and Ruthie (Dave) Pearson of Marion; five grandchildren, Lesley (Michael) Hammond, Phillip Falcon, Andrew (Mary) Falcon, Christopher (Cynthia) Pearson and Albert (Britt) Pearson; and six great-grandchildren, Hallett and Andrew James Falcon, Ben and Evelyn Pearson, Owen Pearson and Lacey Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orlin; her son, James Orlin Hann; and her brother, Lawrence Goodyear.
Claribel was born November 18, 1915, the daughter of Robert L. and Ethel (Johnston) Goodyear in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Marion High School. On June 14, 1934, she married Orlin B. Hann in Marion. He died March 22, 1994. She and Orlin farmed for over sixty years together. Claribel was a longtime member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church and the Prairie Chapel Community.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor?s choice, in Claribel?s memory.
