Clarice I. Lee

Clarice I. Lee, 85, of 4101 W. Valley Dr., Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at the First Congregational Church, Cedar Rapids. There will be no visitation. Private Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements are with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charlie; her sons, Don (Cheryl) of Omaha, Nebraska, Chuck (Linda) of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Jim (Caryl) of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Lindy (Lee) of Decorah; two grandsons, Eric of Chicago, Illinois, and Phillip of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Stanley (Barbara) Iverson of Conrad, Iowa; and a sister, Dorotha (Jim) Cordt of Marshalltown, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Clarice was born December 6, 1920, the daughter of Sam and Onie (Medhus) Iverson, in Longmont, Colorado. On December 9, 1945, she was united in marriage to Charlie Lee on the family farm in rural Marshalltown, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State Teachers College and taught third grade for several years in Dayton, Iowa. An active and longtime member of the First Congregational Church, Clarice will be remembered for teaching Sunday School.
