Clifford L. Williams, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center. The family will host a Celebration of Life from 1 – 6 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021, at The Eagle’s Club (upstairs), 1735 11th Street NW, Cedar Rapids. The family kindly requests a side dish to share during the celebration. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Clifford was born June 11, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Willie J. and Georgia (Collins) Williams. He was united in marriage to Arlita “Marie” McDow. Arlita later passed away. Clifford honorably served his country in the United States Army and the Air Force. He worked for Coop Feed and Century Cab. Clifford loved to play Bingo, gamble, and play pull-tabs. He enjoyed his visits at Hy-Vee, and he always loved the time he spent with his loved ones.
Survivors include his children, Stephanie, Mark, and Billy Williams; sister, Marguerite Hennessey; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie; parents, Willie and Georgia; and siblings, Gladys Grapes, Amos Williams, and Mary Lou Anderson.
