Danny Bill Zeman, 61, of Central City passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City with a Scripture Service beginning at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prairieburg by Father Wayne Droessler. Burial: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Prairieburg.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; his children, Aaron Zeman and significant other, Coreena, of Marion, Kelly (Richard) Harris of Alaska; grandchildren, Rice Allen Miller and Elizabeth Harris; his parents, George and Helen; step-sons, Robert Lovell, Richard Lovell, Randy Lovell all of Prairieburg, James (Jackie) Lovell, Ronald (Jessica) Lovell both of Central City, Marty (Michelle) Lovell of Cedar Rapids; 15 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Joann (Darryl) Matthews of Tennessee; his brother, Larry (Sandi) Zeman of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by 2 twin step-great-grandchildren at birth.
Danny was born July 1, 1954, to George and Helen (Kostman) Zeman in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Washington High School and later attended Kirkwood Community College. He worked at the Country Corner Western Store on Mount Vernon Road. He loved fishing, hunting, and being with his horses. After 24 years of being together, Danny and JoAnn were married on June 23, 2015, in Cedar Rapids.
