David Wesley Armstrong, Jr., 59, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, April 12, 2010. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by Pastor Randall Vartabedian. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Barbara; three daughters, Heather (Tom) Twing, Faith (Marcus) Mitts, and Brynna (Jordan) Misener; two brothers, Jerry (Mary) Butler and Kevin (Donna) Flanagan; and four grandchildren, Adele, Aiden, Brylee, and Aslyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Butler.
David was born June 21, 1950, the son of David Armstrong Sr. and Jean Flanagan in Junction City, Kansas. He most recently worked at Pearson Fabrication as a welder.
David was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids.
A memorial fund has been established in David’s memory.
