David Dale Arnold

David Dale Arnold, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.

David was born on February 6, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Walter Arnold and Ione Gertrude Butz. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School in 1976 and attended Kirkwood Community College for graphic arts for two years. On May 6, 2006, he married Margaret Ann Young. Dave worked for Norwood Souvenir for many years, then worked as a packer in retail warehousing for Nordstrom for over 10 years before retiring in 2023.

Dave loved comic books and collecting Funko Pop figurines, and even wrote his own comic book series. He was also a huge movie buff. Dave loved classic and modern films, and was a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He is survived by his children, David W. Arnold, Jennifer (James) Perez, Angela Arnold, and Daniel Arnold; his siblings, Sid Arnold, Shari (Denny) Sejkora, and Carrie (Tom) Feye; and several nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Ione and Walter; his wife, Margaret; his brother, Robert; his granddaughter, Evie Jane; and his sister-in-law, Diane Arnold.
