David William Frank

David William Frank, 83, of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at his home in Springville. A celebration of life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa.

David was born on August 5, 1942, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of William Edward and Eleanor Augusta (Zillig) Frank. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and went on to serve honorably in the United States Navy. On May 28, 2004, David was united in marriage to Dixie Lee Haynes. He worked as a pipefitter for Local 125 for 65 years. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid Hawkeye fan. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren. David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Dixie Frank; three sons, Bill (Lolinda) Lyman, Mike (Nancy) Lyman, and Jonathon Frank; four grandchildren, David, Andrew, Emily, and Brooks; and one sister, Sue Kowalski.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Coreem Hoffman.
