David Lee Graybill, 58, of Ryan, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at Silver Creek United Methodist Church, Robinson. The family will greet friends 4 ?" 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Central City, with a Masonic service to follow. Burial: Silver Creek Cemetery, Robinson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Jessica Curtis, Amber Mussman, Tyler Graybill, and Mitchel (fiancé, Tiffany Smith) Graybill; grandchildren, Emma Curtis, and Presley Mussman. Also surviving are his brothers, Gary (Regina) Graybill, and Bill (Charlotte) Graybill; sister, Jean (Bill) Mangold; and mother-in-law, Alva Friedrichs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob Graybill; and father-in-law, Bob Friedrichs.
David was born June 4, 1951, in Manchester, IA, to Veryle and Frances (Emerson) Graybill. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked in auto parts and repair. David married Mary Friedrichs on June 18, 1983, at Palisades Park in Mt. Vernon, IA. He was a member of the Masons, and an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. David was a proud Papa and had a great love for life. He enjoyed every minute spent with his family and friends.
