David Staude, 46, of 107 Mason Drive NW, Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, May 15, 2006, from injuries suffered in a car accident. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2006 at Cedar Hills Community Church, 6455 E Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Kent Landhuis. Visitation: 4:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 18 at the church. His body will be cremated following services. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Dave is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lisa (Wesbrook) Staude; son, Mike; daughter, Kristin, both at home; father, Rev. Don Staude and wife Kay, of Sobieski, Wisconsin; mother, Beverly Michaud and husband Irv, of DePere, Wisconsin; brother, Rev. Brian Staude and wife Barb, of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; sister, Lisa McNally and husband, Pat, of Wheaton, Illinois; mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Melvin Wesbrook, of Cedar Rapids; brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott Wesbrook, and wife Kim, Tracy Petersen and husband, Eric of Cedar Rapids and Dee Laubengayer and husband Karl of Robins; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, step-siblings and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great friend and step-brother, Mike Ward.
Dave was born March 1, 1960, and grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated from Wartburg College and earned his Master?s Degree from the University of Madison, Wisconsin. He was employed by Tanager Place.
Dave loved the Green Bay Packers, golf, singing in the church choir, playing cards, riding roller coasters, and especially attending his children?s athletic and fine arts events. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in David?s name.
