Dean Laydon Lines, 74, of Nashua, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at his son’s home in Alburnett, following a short illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. John Albertson. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his children, Tom and Julie Lines of Alburnett, Mike and Debra Lines of Hanford, California, Ted and Amy Lines of Lancaster, California, Mary and Leo Gainey of Boron, California, Jesse Lines of Alburnett, and Charles Lines of Waterloo; his sister, Verna (Gaylord) Scandrett of Ames; his brother, Galen (Lucile) Lines of Brooklyn, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Karen Lines of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Dean was born May 15, 1934, the son of Thomas and Lyla (Losee) Lines in Marble Rock. He worked as a Dairy Operator for Beatrice Foods in Fredericksburg for thirty-five years. Dean was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran. He was a member of Nashua American Legion.
Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post No. 298 of Marion.
