Debra Jean Geater (Geater)

Debra Jean Geater, 49, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Iowa City. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends after 1 p.m. until service time. Private burial at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Swain; children, Seth (Kara) Skelton of North Liberty and Tyler Bryant of Tiffin; mother and stepfather, Doris and Gerald Kubik of Central City; a sister, Susan (Ray) Holder of Marion; two brothers, Ron Geater of Plainsfield, Illinois, and Jason Geater of Chicago, Illinois; and stepmother, Joyce Geater of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald; and her grandparents.
Debra was born April 8, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A 1978 Kennedy High School graduate, she married Michael Swain on September 9, 2000, in Cedar Rapids. Debra worked at the Log Cabin Lounge for 15 years.
