Delores "Dori" H. Stolba

Delores “Dori” H. Stolba, 93, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at her home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Delores was born on May 22, 1932, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of George and Helen (Stary) Yilek. She attended Wilson High School. On August 23, 1952, Delores was united in marriage to James Robert Stolba in Cedar Rapids. She worked in food service for College Community Schools and was devoted to raising her children. Delores and James farmed in the Toddville area before moving to Swisher, and later to a condo in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed gardening, canning, knitting, quilting, sewing, and making kolaches.

Survivors include her children, Renee (Jack) Campbell of Marion, Iowa, Connie (Mike) Johnson of Paola, Kansas, and Penny Hearst of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Crystal (Josh) Meskimen, Amanda (Jay) Middleton, Heather (Chad) Jarboe, Melissa Johnson, Ashley Hearst, and Jodi Hearst (David Bogert); and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; her sister and brother-in-law, Marce and Bob Stolba; an infant grandson, Matt Campbell; and her son-in-law, Jon Hearst.
