Dennis L. Fiser, 66, of Central City, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11:00a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at First Assembly of God Church, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Rick Gail. The family will greet friends from 4 ?" 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia; his children, Robert (Kariann) Fiser, Rodney (Lorene) Fiser, Terri (Vance) Edwards, Staci (Scott) Whitson, and Lori (Brian) Prucha; grandchildren, Amber, Justin, Ashton, Zackary, Matthew, Zachery, Abbigail, Jacklyn, Dalton, Kate, and Belle; 4 brothers, Dean (Ronda), Donald (Carol), Daryl (Bette), and Delbert (Ruth).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis was born October 1, 1943, the son of Wallace and Lucille (Rodgers) Fiser, in Ladora, Iowa. He married Marcia Rudd on March 17, 2007, in Central City. Dennis retired as a Captain from the Linn County Sheriff’s Department. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapshooting, and watching his grandchildren's activites. He was a member of the Otter Creek Sportsman’s Club.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dennis’ memory.
