Dennis Lee Greene

Dennis Lee Greene, 69, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at home. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dennis was born on July 16, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of William and Patricia (Porter) Greene. He attended Marion High School. On December 1, 2003, Dennis was united in marriage to Kimberly “Kim” Ann Leitheiser in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was employed by the City of Cedar Rapids as part of the Traffic Engineering Department from 1978 until his retirement in 2016.

He loved woodworking, maintaining and rebuilding cars, especially Mustangs and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Dennis liked eating M&M’s candy and a good prime rib dinner. He enjoyed shooting pool and used to be part of a local pool league. Most of all, he loved spending time with his girls. Dennis will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dennis is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Kim Greene; three daughters, Alexa, Tasha, and Leah Greene; stepson, Jacob Scadden; sisters, Kathy Greene and Paula (Steve Peot) Greene-Peot; brother-in-law, Mike Glowacki; and four nieces and nephews, Justin Greene, Danielle Fisher, Shane Peot, and Sarah Peot.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pam (Greene) Glowacki.
