Diane Blakley

Diane Blakley, 71, of Urbana, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Friday, July 10, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Diane was born on March 2, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Roland and Janet (Steadman) Schneider. On March 22, 1994, Diane was united in marriage to Randall A. Blakley in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, and cooking. Diane loved frogs, dragonflies, hummingbirds, and flowers. Above everything she enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Randall Blakley; daughter, Jody (Bill) Seeley; grandchildren, Taylor (Jessica) Seeley, Trey Seeley, and Levi Seeley; great-grandchildren, Aurora Seeley, and Roland Seeley; siblings, Larry (Kim) Berndt, and Jeff (Molly) Berndt; and her dog, Sticks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Schneider and Janet Beltz; siblings, Kellie Berndt, David Schneider, Kim Meyer, Lori Schneider, and Craig Schneider; many aunts and uncles; mother-in-law, Marilyn Blakley; brother-in-law, Nick Blakley; father-in-lawn Jacob Blakley; and dog, Max.
