Donita Ellen Keleher, 90, a resident of Village Ridge, died there Sunday, February 11, 2007, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside Committal: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Eastside Cemetery in Elkader.
Survivors include her children, Rodger (Elizabeth) Keleher of Marion and their children, Jeff (Jody) Keleher, Chris Keleher, and Cathy (Kris) Hill, Sandra (Ethan) Sproston of Marion and their son, Wayne Sproston, and Carrol (Dean) Chipokas of Cedar Rapids and sons, Brian (Danielle) Johnson and Mark Johnson; and four great-grandchildren, Quinn and Cort Johnson and Bryan and Tim Keleher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; and two brothers, Dewain and Fred.
Donita was born July 20, 1916, the daughter of William and Pearl (Shaw) Stendel in Elkader. She married Kenneth Thomas Keleher. He died October 5, 1974. Donita worked at Killian?s Department Store for a good number of years.
