Donna Jean Conner

Donna Jean Conner, 63, of Clarence, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home. A Celebration of Life and burial at Dunkard Cemetery in Toddville, Iowa, will be held at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa assisted the family.

Donna was born January 26, 1963, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of James and Joan (Abernathy) Chase. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1981 and worked at Sheller Globe in Iowa City for 33 years before retiring in 2016. Donna was a member of the Teamsters Local 238. She enjoyed crafting, pet collecting and cherished her family. Donna will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Palmer of Clarence; grandson, Robert Peil; sisters, Pat (Tony) Wilson of Cedar Rapids and Sherry (Dave) Reinhart of Sutliff, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and her loving dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Christine Palmer; infant sister, Susan Chase; brothers, Norm and Chuck Chase; and her companion, Dan Smith.
