Donna Mae (McMullen) Silver, 71, a resident of Independence Assisted Living, died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Remembrance: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin; son, Brett R. Babak; daughters, Theresa (Scott) Jones, and Vanessa (Dave) Hitchcock; step-daughter, Sheila Cobb; grandchildren, Lance Millard, Cutis Millard, Jacob Anger, Trey Jones, Tanner Jones, Hunter Hitchcock, Douglass (Sylvia) McMullen, and Dick (Marion) McMullen; and five step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Larry Grissom.
Donna was born April 20, 1943, in Central City, the daughter of Richard and Miriam (Munger) McMullen. She graduated from Central City High School in 1961, and worked for Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids. Donna was involved with some volunteering. She also liked to play Bingo and enjoyed bird watching.
