Donna L. Wacker

Donna L. Wacker, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, October 23, 2005, at her home following a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at Linn Grove Presbyterian Church, rural Mount Vernon, by the Rev. Karen Downey Beals. Burial: Springville Cemetery. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, from 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne; her sons, Dennis (Kathy) Wacker, and Larry (Laurie) Wacker; six grandchildren, Jared (Angie) Wacker, Cason (Sarah) Wacker, Dennis John Wacker Jr., Andrea Wacker, Amy Wacker and Angus Wacker; a great-granddaughter, Elise Wacker; and a sister, Doris M. Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Harold, Herbert, Harley, Duane and Donald Anderson.
Donna was born June 22, 1933, in rural Wyoming, Iowa, to Ernest and Amy (Streeper) Anderson. She attended rural schools and graduated from Anamosa High School in 1951. Donna married Wayne Wacker on February 15, 1953, at the Presbyterian Church in Amber, Iowa. They made their home in Cedar Rapids. Donna retired from Rockwell Collins in 1989. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Donna?s memory.
