Doris Jane Taft

Doris Jane Taft, 76, formerly of Bertram, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, in her home in Willard, Missouri, after a sudden illness. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday (April 22.) Graveside Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2004, at Campbell Cemetery in Bertram, by the Rev. Scott Meador.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Dot) Jacquet of Marion, David (Barb) Taft of Lakeland, Florida, Steven Reese of Iowa City and Brenda (Paul) Evans of Willard, Missouri; a brother, Frank (Darlene) Fieselman of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Lee Taft; and a son, Richard.
Doris was born June 10, 1927, the daughter of John and Emily Gould Fieselman in Cedar Rapids. On November 30, 1945, she was united in marriage to Richard Lee Taft. He died September 6, 2001. While living in Bertram, she was a member of Solon United Methodist Church.
A memorial fund has been established for Solon United Methodist Church in memory of Doris.
