Doris F. Waddell, 80, of 921 Old Marion Road NE, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 in her home after long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, by the Rev. Ken Koske. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call from 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, William; her children, William Creglow and Pamela (Phillip) Gonzales, all of Kingman, Arizona; five stepchildren, William (Cheryl) Waddell of Saint Peters, Missouri, Jeffrey Waddell, Teresa (Jim) Schlensker, Tony Waddell, and Kim Waddell, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, three who live locally, Edith (Patrick) Glackin, Anthony Gonzales and Valerie Espinoza; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Beverly) Etzel of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Jack Waddell; a sister-in-law, Mae Schmidt; and her in-laws, Velber and Delpha Waddell.
Doris was born April 25, 1926, the daughter of Clifford O. and Edith (Clymer) Etzel in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Marion High School in 1944. On April 15, 1965, she was united in marriage to William Waddell in Mexico. She had worked as a pharmacist?s assistant.
