Dorothy “Dottie” J. Rupe, 60, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, November 4, 2013, at Crestview Acres, Marion. Services: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Dottie was born on December 9, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Burrell and Betty (Brown) Rupe. She was a member of the New Creation Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Larry Freerksen of Cedar Rapids and Becky Beltz of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Austin, Rylee, Hunter, Alexander and Chad; mother, Betty Rupe of Mechanicsville; and siblings, Steve, Anna Marie, Linda and Jennifer.
She was preceded in death by her father; twin sister, Debi; and two brothers, Sonny and Earl.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
